Samantha Smith

I am the youngest of 3 and the first in my family to graduate from a 4 year university with a bachelors degree and the first to attend graduate school and obtain a masters degree. Throughout high school and college I was actively engaged in support programs for first generation students. These programs encouraged me to apply/obtain scholarships for college as well as gain access to college tours/fairs. Because of the impact the Directors and Coordinators made on my decision to further my education; I decided that one day I would love to be able to be that person for someone else. This is why my role here at UNC Charlotte is near and dear to me because I get to fulfill my passion and purpose.
