Charlotte's 2nd annual First-Generation Celebration Week was one to remember!

We celebrated First-Generation Niners all week long by providing opportunities to get free First-Gen swag and holding space for First-Generation Niners to build community and meet with other First-Generation Niners, faculty & staff.

Monday, A Picture of Perfect (Mental) Health, 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Lucas Room Cone

  • Monday we were excited to host a gallery exhibit featuring research from Dr. Hopper's Photovioce study capturing the unique journey of first-generation college students at Charlotte.

Tuesday, First-Generation Photos & Food Truck, 1-3 p.m., CHHS/COED Plaza

  • The First 50 First-Generation Niners were given funds to use at the Soul Rolls food truck we brought on campus. After the food truck, we took First-Generation Niner photos to showcase what First-Gen looks like here in Charlotte.

Wednesday, First-Generation Cookout, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Star Quad
